What A Saw
January 19, 2006 | 11:37The train station I get off my train in Vienna is currently being renovated, so some gates are closed. The used tools are a little bit larger than usual, some look like Binford’s new professional series stuff
The workers use a circular saw which saw blade has a diameter of about 1.50 metres. This circular saw also features a protective cover, which wasn’t in use this morning. Those protective covers have their right to exist: first of all, when a worker comes across this saw his or her head won’t fall off out of a sudden, and on the other hand, when the saw blade disengages itself, nobody gets killed
I don’t want to get killed either, so I gained speed by walking a bit faster than usual to get pass that building site ![]()
Any Benchmarks?
January 18, 2006 | 17:12Apple recently launched their new MacBook Pro which features an Intel Core Duo processor. Apple states that this notebook is four times faster than the old PowerBook with G4 processor. Sounds interesting, but I didn’t find any benchmark tests that are independent from apple. This is like saying “my dick is bigger than yours” without proof ![]()

- Sahara (on June 26th): B-
- War Of Worlds (on July 3rd): B
- Hitchhiker’s Guide To The Galaxy (on July 12th): B+
- Madagascar (on July 16th): A
- Fantastic Fout (on July 23rd): C+
- Mr. & Mrs. Smith (on July 27th): A-
- Sin City (on August 26th): A-
- Red Eye (on September 23rd): B-
- Nochnoi Dazor (on October 1st): A-
- The Dukes Of Hazard (on October 22nd): B+
- Doom (on November 5th): D
- The Chronicles Of Narnia: The King Of Narnia (on December 12th): E
- King Kong (on December 26th): C+
And many other Movies from which I didn’t kept the theatre ticket, so I can’t post them
But judging from the movies that are listed above, that Narnia pile of shit was the worst movie I’ve seen in 2005, followed by Doom (although that one was fun too) and King Kong. The top movies where Madagascar and Star Wars Episode III, followed by Sin City and Mr. & Mrs. Smith.
