Pimp Your PSP

November 9, 2006 | 22:01

You are the proud owner of a Sony PSP (like me) and you also own the Logitech Playgear Case (like me)? Then you should take a look on this almost 500 pages long thread on the official Playstation board all about Playgear skins. My personal favourites is are the Prince of Persia skins made by EJ_Ink:

You’ll also should find empty skins, so you can design your own one, but in case you’re a lazy ass and don’t want to search, you can also get it here:

Return Of My PSP

October 25, 2006 | 08:12

PSPI picked my PSP up yesterday (the UMD slot had to be repaired) and judging from the date of the post where I mentioned that it needs to be repaired, two months have passed. This means that if I had returned the PSP to Amazon, it would have arrived at the earliest in December. I would like to thank Mr. Schöffmann from Sony Computer Entertaiment Austria for his advice and efforts to get my PSP repaired and Mr. Krenn from Powerplay Lugner City, who instantiated the repairing procedure. Powerplay also equipped me with a brand new Value Pack, because of Sony keeping my Giga Pack (I returned the complete box, not only the PSP itself) :D

Nice Guys At Sony After All

August 24, 2006 | 14:30

PSPThe UMD-slot of my PSP is defective, and I can’t imagine why. I have neither dropped it nor have I treated it ruggedly. Be that as it may, getting a replacement isn’t that simple as that. Due to the fact that I bought my PSP online at amazon.de, Sony recommends to send the Package back to the retailer, which is Amazon, and guess what, recommends to send it back to the manufacturer which is Sony. And Amazon makes better case fo sending it back to Sony, because warranty handling via Amazon could take up to 6 weeks plus the time Sony sends Amazon a new PSP. So I called Sony one week ago, and told the phonelady my tale of woe. She replied to me that she can’t do anything for me and I should contact the retailer. Okay, been there, done that, bought a tshirt and called Sony again the other day. Same reply, but she offered me to inform her senior to call me back, maybe he can offer me another solution and guess what, he didn’t call me. Called Sony again on Wednesday, her senior is on a fair in Germany, but she gave me his cell phone number. And today I called him, he was in a meeting (I couldn’t care less), the senior himself picked up and, hooray for me, I don’t have to send the package to Amazon, but can go to some Store in Vienna, who will do the exchange task for me. Being annoying and keep calling back sure made an impact on the guys and ladies at Sony Computer Entertainment Europe :)

My PSP

June 28, 2006 | 08:47

PSPMy PSP arrived yesterday, just one word: ultranicegadgetotastic ;-) Already ripped some movies to watch them on my daily train-trip to Vienna and to kill some time. A very nice feature is the ability to play flash games on the PSP, which makes playing a zillion of those mostly nice programmed games possible ;-)

New Electronic Gadget

June 19, 2006 | 16:13

PSP Giga PackI’ve put my PlayStation2 and my iPod on eBay, and bought the Sony PSP Giga Pack on Amazon :-) So I need for gaming, listening to music and watching movies only one device, and that’s the PSP. Furthermore the PSP features a neat remote control, which I missed from my iPod, and it has a larger screen. The only thing I’ll miss is the large hard disk of the iPod, the Memory Stick does not provide more than 4GB of storage at the moment (8GB are in development, and the new memory stick micro will have a capacity up to 32GB). The PSP has also got a webbrowser and wireless LAN. So I don’t need to sit in front of my computer anymore to surf the web :-)
